Works well, out of the box.

The card works right out of the box, and runs Compiz just fine.
It gets configured with the open source "ati" driver - and keep it that way, because the flgx driver has worse support for it and Compiz won't run if you use it.
You get ~600 fps on glxgears with the default configuration - that's pretty much the best you can get, unless you lower the color deph from 24 to 16 in xorg.conf - that'll result in ~1200fps.
Note: the card does not have support for pixel shaders (hardware limitation, not a driver factor), but you won't really notice it. The only thing that won't work is the water notifications feature in Compiz, since it relies on it pixel shaders.
But overall, the card is very usable and works good.
