Works well with Debian 7.2 (wheezy) 64-bit
Posted November 14, 3:02pm by Francesco, using Debian Linux
Logitech HD C270 was tested on Debian 7.2 (wheezy) 64-bit with:
- Skype 220.127.116.11,
- Cheese 3.4.2 (pay attention, recognition of the webcam could take a few seconds, but it works),
- Empathy 18.104.22.168 (video quality seems to be worse than skype)
Webcam works out of the box.
Its Works fine

I found how to make it working under linux OpenSuse 12.3 64bits,
First, lsusb und alsa did recognize the webcam.
As second i searched with plug-ins and codecs without success no 32 bits solved that the webcam wasn’t recognized from the codecs.
So i changed (with yast) the sources of linphone (3.5.2) to the linphone-devel (3.6.1).
It took a long time to download a lot of codecs and other things but yea ! everything is working fine !
works yes and no

Tested with Archlinux, Debian, Mint and Ubuntu. Everytime the sound sounds higher than it should be and i had some errors like \"unable to set freq 46000\".
The camera itself works without problems, but the videos don\'t look good.
Sorry Logitech, I would like to give you a zero rating but I have to give at least one
Works on Ubuntu 12.10

The c270 worked out of the box. I used it in Skype, Google Hangout, and Cheese. Both the mic and the camera worked without even having to fiddle with any settings. Yeah linux!

Plug it in and it\'s automatically recognized in apps like Cheese and Google Talk. Both the camera and the microphone work.
Video good, microphone bad

The microphone works only briefly between re-pluggings. Very annoying to use with Skype
Não funcionou HD

A webcam funcionou no momento da instalação, porém com a qualidade de imagem muito ruim, deve usar algum driver generico.
Just open the program
